It has been nine months since her soldier dad left for a tour of the Middle East – so this little girl wasn’t going to let military protocol stand in the way of welcoming him home.
In the video captured by a local news channel, she gets up in the middle of the welcome service and runs over to Lt Daniel Ogelsby in front of everyone in the hall.
Her dad, standing to attention in a row of other soldiers, reaches down to give Karas a gigantic hug.
